Department of Management
| Dr. Deborah O’Neil, currently a visiting faculty member for BGSU’s management department, has been appointed to a permanent position as an assistant professor, beginning this fall. She has significant experience teaching courses in organization behavior and organization development, especially to executive students. Dr. O’Neil earned her PhD from Case Western Reserve University in organization behavior and received a Master of Science in Organization Development from American University. | ![]() |
Since completing her doctorate, Dr. O’Neil has been a senior lecturer at Case Western Reserve University, teaching courses in the MBA, Executive MBA, and Executive Education programs. Besides teaching, Dr. O'Neil has five referred journal articles and several book chapters that are in press. She has recently contributed a chapter entitled “Women and Success: Dilemmas and Opportunities,” to an important edited publication, Handbook on Women in Business and Management. In addition, Dr. O’Neil has presented at 18 refereed conferences, has had a paper published in the Academy of Management Best Papers Proceedings, and has extensive consulting experience, including Citibank. |

The other new faculty member is Ms.Yungsook Hong. She will be joining the department on a tenure-track position, teaching supply chain management. Ms. Hong is completing her dissertation in supply chain management at Arizona State University. The topic of her dissertation is coordination of product development activities with suppliers. |
She earned an MBA from Bowing Green State University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University. Ms. Hong has published in the Journal of Operations Management and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and has presented papers at Academy of Management meetings. Prior to BGSU, Ms. Hong has taught logistics management. The College and department welcomes these two excellent faculty members! |
