Financial
Support
Financial aid packages are offered to qualified students on a competitive
basis. In recent years, BGSU and the Department of Accounting and MIS have been able to provide financial assistance to many, and sometimes all, full-time domestic and international MAcc students for one academic year.
- Full-year financial aid packages provide funding for all tuition and general fees (except general fees in the summer) plus a cash stipend to assist with living expenses.
- Partial-year financial aid packages provide tuition for:
- a) Fall or spring tuition and general fees
- b) Summer tuition
- c) A reduced cash stripend
- Full-year cash stripends vary but are expected to be sufficient to cover at a minimum between 30% and 40% of a students living expenses.
Many of the financial aid on offer require students to work a minimum of ten hours per week, during a fall or spring semester. In recent years, the MAcc students' financial aid assignments have included:
- Working at a local CPA firm
- Working at local corporate offices
- Working on campus in various roles/locations
- Faculty teaching and research support
