A
broad range of cooperative internship opportunities
are available for the summer immediately preceding
the start of the program. These opportunities allow
you to gain experience in your chosen field. To be
eligible for a cooperative internship opportunity,
you must designate on your graduate school application
that you seek admission to the Master of Accountancy
Program.
Full
time opportunities are abundant through the Career
Services of
BGSU. The Career Services offers you help in the career planning process. For example it performs mock interviews, assists with job search and offers a resume and interview workshop. In addition, drop-in hours are available to have resumes and cover letters critiqued.
Major corporations as well as the Big Four accounting
firms recruit actively on campus. Furthermore BGSU conducts a job fair, where students can meet future employers. There are workshops provided in advance to help you prepare for the job fair. Recruiters from more than 125 organizations attend. This is an excellent opportunity to speak with and give your resume to potential employers. On-campus Interviews can also be scheduled with certain companies' for the day after the job fair.
Career services also provide, Work Net, a highly effective tool to help students manage their job search. This innovative system presents the widest range of employment opportunities available to MAcc graduates. Students only upload their resume to apply for positions and schedule on-campus interviews. Work Net is your link to employers, jobs and internships.
The MAcc program has loyal alumni and extensive employer networks led to excellent job placements in 2005 (all but 4 students that sought jobs were employed by August 2005)
