It
is the vision of the Department of Finance at Bowling
Green State University to be the premier non-doctoral
finance department in the region and one of the best
in the nation, with a commitment to excellence and
continuous improvement in finance education. To
fulfill this vision, we will direct our activities
toward achieving the following mission:
- We
will deliver a high quality educational experience
to students.
- We
will promote the scholastic development of our
faculty.
- We
will provide public service to the profession and
University, and promote outreach activities for
alumni and the business community.
- We
will assess the outcomes of our activities in terms
of the success of our program graduates, faculty
research productivity, and public service/outreach
activities.
We
are also committed to periodic reviews of and revisions
to the mission statement, as needed, to ensure that
it reflects changing needs of all constituents including
students, alumni, prospective employers, and community,
and that it is both current and consonant with the
mission statements of the College and the University.
