Dan Klein is an Associate Professor of Finance and has been a member of the Department since 1989. Dr. Klein graduated with a B.A. in Economics (1977) from John Carroll University; an M.S. in Economics (1981) from Iowa State University; and earned a Ph.D. in Finance (1989) from the University of Kansas. He was also employed by the Kroger Corp. in Cincinnati, Ohio as a Purchasing Specialist in the Purchasing Department of the Manufacturing Division (1981-85). His teaching interests include corporate finance, investments, and personal finance. Research interests include issues related to initial public offerings, corporate governance, corporate performance and implications for corporate value, and options and futures contracts. He has published in several financial journals including the Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, the Journal of Small Business Finance, the Review of Financial Economics, and International Financial Management.
