Technical Vocabulary
     This closed book exam will evaluate your understanding of the approximately 200 most common IT terms whose definitions are available on Tech Vocab page.  The evaluation will be multiple choice, and fill in the blank (with the vocabulary term).  You are given 3 opportunities to test.  At each testing time you can take one test.  Three tests are available.  One is a complete exam, one is from the first half of the terms (1-100) and one is the second half terms (101-200). 

Mid Term
     This closed book exam will evaluate mastery of the course textbook, and the supplemental course handout, as well as  your ability to apply your IT knowledge to a case.  Multiple choice will test the book concepts and Current Events (from the 602 Newsite) and 5 to 10 short answer questions and an essay will evaluate your understanding of the textbook and handout.  90% of the short answer and essay questions will cover topics that are both discussed in class and in the book.  The remaining 10% will come from the textbook.   See example exam below.

Final
    Exactly the same type of evaluation as Exam 1. It is non comprehensive, that is, I will ask questions from the second half of the course after the Exam 1.

Team Case Presentation
     More later after I explain and demonstrate a case.  You will form teams and prepare and present a case in class.  

Individual Case Participation
     You will be evaluated for your oral contributions to our class discussions of the cases.  The case method emphasizes learning from each other's experiences.   

602 Newsite
     More details later.  In general, the class will be creating a website of current IT events.  You will be evaluated on your timely reading of current event postings and your peers' assessments of the current events you post.

Software Assignment
   Each individual will accomplish two assignments--a database project or a webpage project.  More specifics will be posted after the semester begins.

For the exam, look over the Internet Securities case.  The long answer question will require you to apply models to that case.
