Course description

Survey of HRM activities including job analysis, performance appraisal, job evaluation, wage surveys, compensation and benefits, labor relations, health and safety, and relevant government regulations. Prerequisite: MGMT 305 or MGMT 360.

 

Course Requirements & Grading Scale:

240         Midterm & Final Exam; 120 pts each

50      PAQ Survey, PAQ Reports, and Participating Professional Business Card (40 pts), Participating Professional feedback (10 pts).

20      Assignments (5 pts each) *Collected from your Participating Professional

40      Class participation (First two levels of points assume full attendance)

26-40 pts: Self-initiation of outside readings & examples; application and integration of material; completion of in-class activities

16-25 pts: When called upon, answers to questions indicate preparation of material; completion of in-class activities

1-15 pts: Several classes not attended (5%-20%)

00 pts: Significant number of classes not attended (21% or more)

Material to prepare: Opening Case Questions, Question of Ethics, & Comprehensive Case.  Identify relevant course material and answer associated questions.

 

Assignments & Exams.  All homework assignments must be presented in a professional format.  NO missed or late assignments will be accepted except in cases of extreme emergency.  There will be no make up exams without medical or official school documentation.
