Exams may be multiple choice, matching, fill in, and essay.   Questions will be asked based on reading material assigned and material discussed in class.  If a student feels an exam question may have been incorrectly graded, s/he may discuss the specifics with the instructor during office hours.  A cumulative final exam will be offered during the time as indicated in the BGSU schedule during the week of May 6. (Exam 3 revised to 25 points.)

II.                   Group Presentation:  (Individuals’ final points will be determined by group evaluations. The instructor will determine the final score if necessary.)  Students will self-select into groups.  Each group will research a current management issue to be debated with another student group.  Presentation should directly apply material from the course and current business practices.  Prior to beginning the presentation, students should submit a cover sheet (with name and date of presentation), an outline of the presentation, list of sources, and a printout of visual aids and handouts to the instructor.  Students should pay attention to verbal & non-verbal communication.  Business casual dress is expected. All group members must actively participate.

III.               Assignments & Projects:  There are two projects.  Projects are a compilation of assignments during a specific time period.  Work will be assigned through out the course.  Students should complete work when assigned.  The instructor will indicate the specific date that a project will be collected.  The purpose of project one is to develop a better understanding of yourself and individuals.  The purpose of project two is to develop a better understanding of groups. (Project two revised to 30 points.)

IV            Class preparation:  This refers to your attendance and the quality of your participation in class activities (e.g., integration and application of reading assignments, constructiveness of contribution, active participation in small group work, completion of exercises and attendance) and to the demonstration of behaviors likely to enhance our class as a learning community (e.g., the core values of BGSU – respect for one another, cooperation, intellectual and spiritual growth, creative imaginings, and pride in a job well done).  Inappropriate behavior, as defined by the professor, and frequent absences will be reflected in a student’s grade. To receive full credit, you are expected to actively participate in class and submit assignments on time.
