Why join the Business College of Choice?

CHOICE of programs

Your options are not limited to just a few areas of business.  We offer two undergraduate degrees - a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Economics. You also have a CHOICE of outstanding business specializations and minors.

While some students enter college with a decision to pursue a particular area of business, more than 70% of entering students are undecided or change their area of study at least once before graduating.  The first semester at BGSU, you have the opportunity to explore all the areas of business in an Introduction to Business course.

At BGSU, students have 12 areas of specialization and 6 minors available to pursue, and the opportunity to take a variety of other courses only available at a major university (sports management, leisure studies, health-care management, etc.).

The undergraduate business programs are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and have been ranked nationally by U.S. News and World Report.

CHOICE of activities

A strong residential community with a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities is available to students.  Besides the more than 300 student organizations offered at BGSU, you may also choose to join one of the 20 student business organizations in the college for social and career development opportunities.

CHOICE of career opportunities

You gain rich, practical business experience and earn money by participating in BGSU's co-op and internship program.  Last year, more than 300 business students participated in BGSU's Co-op/Internship Program and earned more than $1.32 million combined.

Also, job placement opportunities abound upon graduation.  Nearly half of business students accept their first position before graduation day.  Hundreds of organizations throughout the U.S. recruit our students through the BGSU Career Center and the average starting salary for business graduates is more than $43,000.

CHOICE faculty and classroom experiences

You obtain an outstanding education led by prominent faculty with academic and real-world expertise in their fields.  Our college provides students with personal attention.  Courses are taught by business faculty in class sizes averaging less than 40 students.  Compare our 23:1 full-time student to full-time faculty ratio with other accredited business colleges in the state.
