Economic Development
Relationships with the private sector, private individuals, other public institutions, and Canadian universities are prominent at the CSC. Past and present corporate sponsors include Alcan Aluminum, Fifth Third Bank, and Rudolph-Libbe. We collaborate with economic development agencies on both sides of the border to plan and sponsor various business-related events. Organizations participating in recent partnerships with the Center include the Canadian Consulate General-Detroit, the Ontario Ministry of Enterprise, Opportunity and Innovation, the City of Woodstock, the Regional Growth Partnership of Northwest Ohio, and the Ohio Department of Development.

The Center supports efforts by private business and local and state economic development agencies to strengthen Ohio business ties with Canada through monitoring cross-border economic issues. The Center works closely with the Ohio Department of Development and local and regional economic development agencies on both sides of the border.
