Prerequisites

Minimum prerequisites for entry into the M.S. in Applied Statistics are three semesters of Calculus (comparable to MATH 131, 232 and 233 at BGSU). In addition, entering students are expected to have had at least one or two Statistics courses (a one-year sequence of undergraduate Mathematical Statistics would be ideal).  Also, entering students should have had one semester of Linear Algebra (Matrix Algebra) (MATH 432 at BGSU) and one semester of Advanced Calculus (MATH 434 at BGSU). Deficiencies in Linear Algebra or Advanced Calculus must be made up at BGSU, but this remedial work will not count toward the degree.
