Beta Alpha Psi is an international honors fraternity for students of accounting and information systems. It is highly regarded by the business community as a premier collegiate organization. Beta Alpha Psi promotes career development through professional, community service, and social activities. Members have many opportunities to network with both faculty and professionals in their field of interest at meetings and socials. They also develop new friendships through social activities, and help people in the community through various service activities. The Alpha Upsilon Chapter at BGSU has received a Superior Chapter status award 25 times in the past 26 years. Very few university chapters have achieved such a long-standing record of national recognition.

Beta Alpha Psi is combined with AMIS Club as one student organization with four membership classifications:

1) AMIS Club Member

• Anyone may apply (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors).
  
• No GPA requirement.

2)Beta Alpha Psi Pledge

• Normally, students pledge in junior year when taking first upper-level course(s) in major (Accounting, ISAC, or MIS) beyond business core.
• Pledges must meet GPA requirements and satisfy activity participation requirements.

3)Beta Alpha Psi Undergraduate Member

• Initiation upon successful completion of pledge semester.
  
• Members must satisfy activity participation requirements in each semester until graduation.

4)Beta Alpha Psi Graduate Student Member  

• Graduate Students do not pledge, but must sign membership agreement to
  satisfy activity participation requirements in each semester until graduation.
